This year the school

Primary West Bank for the second year in a row honored with a special award for excellence by the Western Cape Education Minister. In 2009, the school's Foundation Phase named the best in the Southern Cape and one of the best five schools in the Western Cape.

This year the school's Intermediate Phase (Gr. 4-6) honored for his overall performance in literacy and numeracy. The awards of the past two years is based on the school's budget results in the annual review of the Western Cape Education Department for the past four years.
"We know that our learners receive excellent instruction and that they disciplined work. They are focused on their work and take pride in their school. Together with parents involved in the school and their children is the partnership a winning formula. "
