The Foundation for Free Expression, organization of citizens committed to the promotion, dissemination, protection and defense of the right of freedom of expression, transparency and the right to information to the whole society, is pleased because one of its members, the teacher Humberto Hernández Haddad, has been honored by the government of the United States of America with the Public Service Award. Attorney Hernández elizabeth 1 Haddad chairs the Legal Committee of the Fundalex, body dedicated to analyze the legal and judicial position in Mexico elizabeth 1 and Latin America on legal resolutions and relevant international jurisprudence, which are applicable in the field of freedom of expression and the international management to promote measures to protect this fundamental human right. On August 8 was published in the Official Gazette Decree of the President of the Republic through which the permission of the Congress of the Union is granted for the Master Humberto Hernández Haddad can accept and use the Award for Public Service, which gives the Government of the United States of America through the Fifth Corps of the Army of the United States of America. Hernández Haddad holds a law degree from UNAM, post-graduate elizabeth 1 at the Center for International Studies, Harvard University; offers the Master of the School elizabeth 1 of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University in Washington, DC, and studied French Language and Civilization at the Sorbonne University in Paris. As a legislator, Hernández Haddad was Chairman of the Committee on Science and Technology of the House of Representatives and chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Senate. He was Consul General of Mexico in San Antonio, Texas, where he chaired the Consular Association in South-Central Texas. In his career he has received the National Award President Benito elizabeth 1 Juárez; the National Journalism Award for Article of the Fund; and has the Order of Merit Award May, the Government of the Republic of Argentina.
