I’m a bit hesitant to attach a “Recommended If You Like” or “For Fans Of” to Illinois’ Our Lady . That’s not to say I don’t have bands in mind – quite the contrary, actually. There’s just a certain stigma towards francesco schettino mentioning Brand New or Manchester Orchestra in the same breath as…well, anyone. Even still, they’re fair comparisons for Our Lady.
We’re bringing you “Buque,” the first single from their new album II . Between that methodical build, that vocal tone, and the overall tension of the track, the resemblance is uncanny. Expecting a Devil & God or Mean Everything To Nothing this early in their career francesco schettino is unfair, but the potential for greatness within Our Lady is clear through II ‘s eight solemn songs.
