The 5th March I brought 26 years old biology student Andreas Kalvig Anderson at Lamentin airport in

A Belgian colleague on the way to the harbor in Martinique waving goodbye baltic sea as we left Le Marin for good. S øndag the 5th September 2010, the harbor in Stavanger bathed in dazzling sunshine, caused by a high pressure that we had with us right from the Faroe three and a half days earlier. The thermometer stopped at a couple and twenty degrees.
As I maneuver in between other yachts in the marina, I go eventually recognize family and friends anxiously waiting for us to moor finished and stop the engine. We, that is the boat and I are there!
From 23 we March left Martinique for the last time, led S / Y "Paradise", our 1991 model Moorings 500 sailboat just under 50 feet, us safely across the seas to the north, rivers, canals and lakes to the west, then continue north to the Arctic, before we in the last half of August finally be able to head to the east. Overall we were during the 169 days, from 14 degrees 40 minutes north latitude, 61 degrees, baltic sea 00 minutes of longitude west to 58 degrees, 58 minutes north latitude, 5 degrees, 44 minutes of longitude baltic sea east. A light hearted totaling just over 7300 nautical mil. In 2010, my experience as a sailor 27 years experience in private sailboat, half a year as skipper of a yacht representation of a Norwegian baltic sea rederis, baltic sea and a few years in the largest bark, "Statsraad Lehmkuhl". I do not know if my sailing experience is long or short, I'm just stating that from its humble beginnings in 1983, I along with guests, family and friends sailed far and wide.
Along with Åge Stormark I bought "All about Paradise" in January, 2005 on Tortola in the BVI, British Virgin Islands. We removed the "All about", and leave it for rent in the Caribbean on Finn.no. But fter five years, it was high time to sail the boat home to more continuous scrutiny.
Eleven stages were put together in Svalbard summer 2008, and there were preparations underway. The first medseiler who signed up, Torben baltic sea Egede Nuuk in Greenland. Already in 2009, he was fully determined to sail the whole distance with. It promised well!
The 5th March I brought 26 years old biology student Andreas Kalvig Anderson at Lamentin airport in Martinique. First we sailed to Tyrell Bay in Carriacou, Grenada. Here we took vårpussen. Once we were launched, we sailed baltic sea to Union Island and filled water. baltic sea Then there was a day's break in the Tobago Cays so Andrew got to experience paradise. Further north we enjoyed a perfectly super bidevindsseilas the windward side of the islands we normally tend to pass on the west side. These islands are called not The Windward Islands for nothing. "Paradise" is incredibly stable direction. We locked the helm of one position on the course, and the boat sailed on the exchange through the dark night.
From left - Andreas, Torben, Kjell, Sharon. We arrived baltic sea V ieux Fort at Saint Luc ia night on 17 March where "his mother"; Sharon Heggie from Nova Scotia, a nice 58 year old Canadian of the afternoon landed baltic sea at Hewanorra International Airport. In working with the theoretical planning of the voyage, she had given me great help, not to mention inspiration. Especially for sailing in the U.S. and Canadian baltic sea waters.
When Sharon moved aboard, she immediately created balance in gender. Basically, she had stated baltic sea that she had most wanted to sail all the way to Stavanger.
